I lead two companies from Southern Oregon. One has been innovating in moisture measurement field for over 50 years, and the other helps businesses win online. I'm driven by a simple idea: technology should solve real problems for real people.
Wagner Meters
In March 2024, I became President of Wagner Meters, carrying forward a legacy my grandfather Delmer Wagner started in the 1960s when he designed the first solid-state, non-contact lumber moisture detector.
I'm the third generation to lead this company, and I've been part of it since middle school. We build precision moisture measurement instruments, from our award-winning Orion pinless wood moisture meters to our Rapid RH concrete testing systems. These tools help sawmills reduce waste, flooring contractors avoid failures, and craftspeople get moisture right the first time.
My grandfather and father built this company on two principles: bring the best quality products to market, and go above and beyond to help customers succeed. I'm committed to honoring that while pushing us to innovate, not just in products, but in how we serve our industry.
i7 Marketing
In 2011, I started building Wagner Meters' digital marketing capabilities. Web design at first, then SEO, then a full marketing operation. That team grew into i7 Marketing, which I co-founded as a separate company to help other businesses achieve the same online growth.
Today, i7 is a full-service digital marketing agency with team members across the US and Europe. We're a Google AdWords certified agency and HubSpot Certified Partner. Our philosophy is simple: your website is for people, not algorithms. We focus on attracting the right visitors, the ones who become customers.
What Drives Me
I love being among the first to discover new technology, and even better, being part of making it succeed. Whether it's developing IoT-enabled moisture monitoring systems or finding new ways to help clients dominate search results, I'm energized by the challenge of turning emerging tools into practical solutions.
I believe the best leaders stay curious. The best companies keep learning. And the best technology serves people who actually use it.
Outside of Work
I live in Grants Pass, Oregon with my wife Kim and our two kids. We have a mini-farm with a big vegetable and flower garden (my wife's domain, though I help where I can).
I'm a licensed UAV pilot who enjoys drone videography. Before the kids came along, I spent more time woodworking, building furniture and smaller crafts. These days, family time wins, and we spend as much of it outdoors as possible.
I'm active in my community and serve as a leader at my church. Volunteering matters to me. The same principles that guide good business (serving others, building trust, creating value) apply to how we should live.
I've also become a huge pickleball fan and play whenever I get the chance.
